The Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association, a government/industry non-profit organization, established a scholarship endowment with the University of West Florida in March 2004. The purpose of the Endowment is to provide financial support for individuals from the greater Eglin community to attend UWF pursuing a Bachelor Degree in an engineering/technical field. On May 10, Mrs. Judy Stokley, Air Armament Center Deputy for Acquisition, and Eglin NDIA Chapter President, presented Dr. Wes Little, UWF Vice Provost for Educational Outreach, a check adding funds to the existing endowment. This check will now provide sufficient funds for a fully endowed scholarship.
